In the event of an emergency, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our english speaking emergency staff is ready to listen to you and, just as importantly, to decide which patients should be referred immediately to a specialized hand surgeon.

In the meantime...please follow these instructions carefully :

1. NEVER put the sectioned part in direct contact with ice.
2. Gather all the sectioned fragments in a compress and place them in a sealed plastic bag.
3. Place the sealed bag in a plastic container with non synthetic ice.The sealed bag must float on iced water.
4. Wrap the amputated extremity with a compression bandage.
5. Elevate the hand.
6. Do not use a tourniquet. Do not use coloured disinfectant.
7. Do not throw away fragments which appear destroyed. The surgeon might be able to use certain components.
8. DO NOT eat, drink, nor smoke.

1. Wrap the injured part in a compression bandage.
2.Place a plastic bag with water and ice around the injured part.
3. immobilize the hand on a splint..
4. DO NOT eat, drink, nor smoke.

1. Immobilize the fractured finger, hand or wrist on a rigid support. For example, put the wrist on a piece of rigid cardboard and wrap loosely around it with a piece of cloth.
2. Keep the hand or the upper limb up.
3. DO NOT eat, drink, nor smoke.

1. Wash the wound with water and simple household soap.
2. Put a bandage (or f a clean towel) around the wound and to keep the hand up.
3. DO NOT eat, drink, nor smoke.

1. Put the limb under current water for about 15 minutes.,
2. Put a bandage (or a clean towel) around it
3.Keep your hand up.
4. DO NOT eat, drink, nor smoke.

1. Rinse off the injury under running water, then soap both hands with liquid soap.
2. Put a bandage (or a clean towel), and keep the hand up.
3. DO NOT eat, drink, nor smoke.
4. Identify the animal in order to find out if the necessary vaccines have been done.
